A Note from Mrs. Ross

                Welcome Back, Salem-Liberty

Students, Parents, & Staff!

I am so excited to begin another fantastic school year. I truly hope you are as excited as I am to get the 2019-2020 school year started.  We have so much to do this year and I know your child’s teacher has many things planned for them.  I would like to personally take this time to welcome any new student, parent, or staff member to the building including all new incoming kindergarteners.  I hope that you will find Salem-Liberty Elementary to be very welcoming and an even better place for education.

First off, I would like to introduce myself to those of you who are new to the building and/or district. My name is Mrs. Krista L. Ross and this will be my 7th year serving as the Salem-Liberty Principal. I truly enjoy watching young children learn and grow daily, which is the reason why I love and went into my particular profession. There once was a quote stated by Robert Hutchins that is so very true and probably one of the main reasons I went into the educational field, "The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives". I personally feel that a child’s elementary influence, whether it be their teacher, principal, librarian, etc., can help to mold and teach them how to become life-long learners.  With that being said, I would like for you, the parent/ guardian, to know that all the teachers and staff members at Salem-Liberty are focused and ready to prepare your child for his or her future. As a parent or guardian, I would like to ask that you support the staff and know they truly want your child(ren) to succeed.

In closing, please know that I wish you and your precious child a very successful school year. Along with each staff member I hope you have the absolute best year yet.

Welcome Back,
