About Ms. Crystal

I grew up in Sumrall, MS, and I now live here in Dixie.  I received an Associates in Liberal Arts degree from Jones County Junior College, and I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-4) degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.  I have been teaching for 10 years, and all of those years I have been at Dixie.  I taught Kindergarten for 1.5 years, and I have been teaching the Pre-K class for students with developmental delays for the past 8 years.  My job keeps me on my toes, but I love my students!  Outside of school, I am very busy as well.  I play the keyboard and sing with my church praise band.  I am a coach with Hub City Special Olympics, and I am on staff as the School Outreach Coordinator with HCSO.  I also help a friend of mine with a bible study specifically geared towards young adults with special needs.  I am a volunteer with Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society as well.  I am currently serving as Co-Event Lead/Survivor and Luminaria Chair for the Hattiesburg Relay for Life.
