Every summer, many children lose 2 to 3 months in reading and math skills.

This is known as the “summer slide” - when kids fall behind in school over the summer break.

These reading and math losses add up. By fifth grade, summer learning loss

can leave students  2 1/2  to  3 years behind their peers.
