MVU CROSSROADS/AFTERHOURS SITE COORDINATOR

The Missisquoi Valley Union Middle & High School (MVU) After School Coordinator position is a 32 hours per week position.  The position is required to be onsite at MVU Middle & High School from 1:30 to 5:30 Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the 30 program weeks and 2 staff prep weeks (August 13- Nov 17, Nov 26 - Dec 20, January 2 - Feb 21, March 6 - April 18, April 29 - May 23 and In-Service Friday August 24).  There are approximately 9 off-session weeks for training, prep and reporting.  Weekly hours average to be 32 hours per week starting mid August 2018 through the end of June 2019.  

The MVU Crossroads (middle school program 7th & 8th grade) and MVU AfterHours (9th-12th grade) After School Program Coordinator is responsible for the development, organization, oversight, grant reporting, behavior intervention and other tasks associated with providing two hours of after school programming following the school day.  This site coordinator is required to be on site at MVU during the after school program from 1:30 – 5:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.  Hours outside of this time frame are flexible.   There is a required flexibility to participate in monthly coordinator training meetings one Friday afternoon each month and flexibility to be present for occasional school day administrator meetings and trainings as needed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, enjoy working with children, will have computer skills <email, internet, MSWord and MSExcel>, and will have at least two years experience working with groups of school age children.   Preference will be given to those with a 4 year degree and experience with youth programs, program development and administration.



AFTER SCHOOL BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONIST (Highgate)

New position for our Highgate Crossroads After School Program.  

After School Youth Worker - 32 weeks during school year, Monday through Thursdays, 2:45 to 5:15pm or 3:30 to 5:15pm daily.
Assisting After School Coordinator with behavior management and intervention with youth in grades 2 through 6.

Looking for a person with strong behavior management and intervention skills and experience, as well as the ability to instruct other after school staff in strategies and techniques for classroom and small group management.
