Library Policies and Rules

The Library is open on all school days from 7:15am - 3:00pm

All students are encouraged to come to the library independently with their classroom teacher's permission.

Students in kindergarten may check out 1 book, kindergarten classes come to the media center every other week.
Students in grades 1st and 2nd may check out 2 books and come to the library every two weeks and may place 1 book on hold.
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes are scheduled to come to the library every two weeks and may place two books on hold.

--please return your books when you are finished--

If you place a book in hold it will be delivered to your classroom once it is returned by the previous reader.

Teachers may come with their classes at additional times as needed for units of study.

Students may come to the library at any time with permission from their teacher.  Students should sign in on the iPad at the circulation desk.  If there is another class in the library, please be polite and respectful of others that may be working.

If you are not done reading your book and it is your class's day  to come to library, bring the book and we will happily renew it for you!

Every student is encouraged to check out books from the Media Center.  However because our books are used by all our students, students must be respectful of books and take good care of them.  Here are some tips for book care:
    1. Keep them dry - Don't read in the rain or in  the bathtub
    2. Keep books away from food - wash hands before touching your book
    3. Keep books safe from pets and younger children
    4. Use a bookmark instead of dog-earing pages
