FMCSD Out-of-School Care Programs have been created to provide a safe and caring learning environment for all school-aged children before and after school and on Non-Instructional Fridays.
It is the vision of the FMCSD Child Care Services to provide quality child are for all children and families based on the needs of the community. Each program strives to provide a play-based, emergent curriculum that arises from the interests and developmental needs of children and where staff encourage all children to actively play and participate in activities.
Days and Hours of Operation
Programs operate from the first day of school in August/September to the last day of classes in June. Some exceptions may be made to meet the needs of school programming (such as Kindergarten schedules).
School Days: 6:15 am – Start of School & End of School - 6:00 pm
Non-Instructional Fridays: 6:15 am – 6:00pm
Statutory Holidays and School Breaks: Closed unless otherwise specified.
Note: Please refer to the FMCSD District Calendar for specific dates.
Registration & Orientation
All new families must attend a New Parent Orientation Session before their child begins program. This session will teach parents the ins and outs of OSC as well as giving staff and families the opportunity to introduce themselves and answer any questions they may have. Returning families must attend a Returning Parent Orientation Session which addresses concerns from the previous year, and provides opportunity to deliver any new information or changes for the upcoming year. Group orientations sessions are hosted each fall for both groups.
Registrations that happen throughout the school year will have individual orientations.
