Nancy Lawson received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Saskatchewan in 1989. Since then, she has been teaching a wide range of subjects such as elementary music, junior high band, middle school vocal arts, and high school choir. Her middle school vocal arts programs have been selected to perform at the Alberta Provincial Music Festivals in Edmonton for three consecutive years, placing second and third. Her Holy Trinity High School Choir received the top choral award at the Oilsands Rotary Music Festival as well as were recommended to go to the Provincial Music Festival. 26 Choir students accompanied her to New York City to sing at Carnegie Hall. She has directed musicals such as Alice in Wonderland, Willy Wonka, Mulan, and Little Shop of Horrors as well as being musical director for Cinderella. She has played in pit bands for Peter Pan, Back to the 80's, Anne of Green Gables, Once Upon a Mattress and Grease.
