Tansi!

My name is Kayla Aikins and I am the FNMI (First Nations, Metis, Inuit) Liaison at Good Shepherd School.  I was born in Fort McMurray and raised in Anzac, where I attended Anzac School from Kindergarten to grade 6.  After grade 6 I attended Father Turcotte for 7 and 8 and then went on to Father Mercredi and graduated in 2005.  I have worked as the FNMI Liaison at Good Shepherd since 2012.  Please feel free to contact me at the school or pop in to see me if you have any questions. Ka3908@fmcsd.ab.ca or 780-799-5763.

Our FNMI program promotes inclusion and understanding for all. We work hard to ensure our students have everything they need to succeed everyday. We bring in guests, entertainers, Elders and other special guests to showcase the aboriginal culture. We work with students, families and the community to create a positive environment for our students to learn and grow.
