Steven Dial
Meet the teacher:
This is my Eleventh year teaching at Flour Bluff Junior High School, and will be my 4th year teaching Coastal Explorers, an outdoor based class that focuses on both the scientific and recreational features of our area. I have lived in the Bluff for over 20 years. I received my degree in Biology from Texas A&M University CC. I enjoy all aspects science, however I particularly love Marine science, and I spend as much time as I can on the water or at the beach. I look forward to a great year!

Assignments/Grading:
Some of the work for Coastal Explorers will be traditional, involving handouts or electronic assignments, which will be graded and eligible to be turned in late as per district policy. However, many of our assignments will be based on student participation in the days' assignment. Students who receive a low/failing grade for lack of participation will not be allowed to redo the assignment. Students who are absent will be given an alternate assignment or similar path to make up the missed activity.
Late assignments:
Students are expected to turn in all assignments at the beginning of class on the designated due date. Late work will receive a modified grade (please refer to district policy)
