awareness and more skills.
We explore yoga poses and relaxation breathing techniques that assist with daily living and well being. This class is particularly helpful for those with cranky joints, creaky backs, and arthritis looking for a safe way to improve posture, range of motion, strength and bring balance back into their lives.
As this is an online class, you will need props at home or work with access to a computer, laptop, IPad or SmartPHone with camera. Call me so I can guide you in setting up your yoga /camera space ; and provide the online link.

YOGA, a 5,000-year-old practice from India designed to unite mind, body and spirit; increase strength, balance and flexibility; promote relaxation, reduce distress and lower blood pressure. I emphasize a FUNCTIONAL form of Hatha yoga, with elements taken from Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, Balance, and Egoscue Postural Alignment.
Through postural awareness and alignment integrated with movement and relaxation, you re-learn how to sit, stand, sleep, walk and move with more grace and ease. My students gain an understanding of how to apply the yoga principles to every day life. I have garnered the reputation as the “yoga on the ball lady,” having adapted stability balls to assist in doing yoga poses. I offer an appropriate style of yoga for teens, adults, and seniors.
I also work privately to assist people in finding yoga poses that are best suited for their given set of postural conditions. Contact me for availability and current rates (907) 277-5255.
Classes are currently online . All you have to do is roll out of bed and Zoom in! You DO have to wear something as I observe your movements and provide guidance and immediate feedback.
