ART 8

Art 8 is a ½ credit course and is a continuation of 7th grade’s introduction to art, focusing on the plethora of “art jobs” out there; such as advertising, printmaking, book illustration, batik, and industrial design to name a few. In addition to careers in art, this class will also introduce cultural art forms and crafts.

1. Arrive on time and be prepared with pencil and good attitude.
2. Thoroughly plan and execute art projects.
3. Participate in class critiques and discussions.
4. Complete all assigned class work.
5. Clean up after yourself….Mrs. C. Sawyer is not your maid!

25% Participation/Critiques
Extra Credit:
Throughout the year, you can receive extra credit by bringing in various household items such as: sturdy cardboard, magazines, old clean white sheets, newspapers, and plastic containers and various other requested items depending on subject needs.
