Art 8 is a required ½ credit course and is a continuation of 7th grade’s introduction to art, focusing on the plethora of “art jobs” out there; such as advertising, printmaking, book illustration, batik, clock making, and industrial design to name a few. Exploring these careers will allow different mediums to be introduced; such as plaster, paint, collage, and wax. In addition to careers in art, this class will also introduce cultural art forms and crafts. You will also be writing short art related papers at the end of each quarter.
