About the 17th Annual Old Colony YMCA Triathlon
This Olympic distance event offers a wonderful course for first timers and experienced triathletes as well. The swim is in a quiet pond. The bike and run courses are flat and fast (or flat and slow if you just want to savor every moment of the race). And the volunteers are fun and enthusiastic. Plus the race is managed by F.I.R.M., the largest race production company in the Northeast.
The Race Course
Swimmers do two loops of the swim course in Tispaquin Pond for the Olympic distance event and one loop for the sprint. A pretty setting for the start of the race. Then it's on to the bike course where This season cyclists will complete 2 loops of a 12 mile course the Olympic race and 1 loop for the sprint on flat roads the entire way. The final segment is the run will be posted soon.
