Join us for the 3rd Annual Bare Hill Triathlon a scenic sprint triathlon through our beautiful town of Harvard, MA. The triathlon begins with a 1/2 mi swim in serene Bare Hill Pond, followed by an 11 mile bike ride and 3.2 road race through rolling terrain alongside apple orchards and horse farms in the Nashua River Valley. Enjoy our vendors, food, and music throughout the event.
Registration and Entry Fees
$70 Individual, $80 relay team
$10 Late fee for race day registration
$12 Single day USA Triathlon license
Registration available online til midnight the Thursday before event.
Packet Pick up: Race morning at venue from 6:30-7:45 AM
Come to race, but stay for the festivities. Your triathlon experience includes a DJ playing great music, yummy post race treats, and sponsor giveaways.
Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group, and in the Clydesdale and Athena divisions, and to all three members of the top male relay team, top female relay team, and mixed relay team. And a random award or two may be given out at the race director's discretion.
Wetsuits keep you warmer and more buoyant during the swim, allowing you to complete the swim faster and with less energy expenditure.

Race Site Bike Mechanic and Support
Steve the Bike Guy will be at the race venue for minor repairs and will provide support on the bike course. Contact Steve to schedule an appointment to have your bike professionally tuned up for the race season. Steve offers a mobile bike service where he picks up your bike, tunes it up, and brings it back to you. www.stevethebikeguy.com.
Follow Rt 2 to Exit 38A, Highways 110/111 South toward Harvard. Stay on 110/111 two miles into Harvard town center. Parking is available at the Bromfield School, both front and rear lots, and the Hildreth Elementary School both front and back lots
Alternatively, follow the Mass Pike/Interstate 90 to Interstate 495 North. Take Exit 28, Highway 111 north into Harvard, about 2 mi. Park as above.

The Harvard Lions are part of the network of 43,000 Lions Clubs in 200 countries and geographic regions around the world, comprising 1.4 million members. While Lions have a global focus on helping the blind and visually impaired, we also support many other causes including numerous local community programs and charitable organizations. Our club is currently comprised of 60 local men and women of all ages and backgrounds. We share an interest in helping others, meeting new people in town and making an impact on our community and beyond.
USA Triathlon rules apply. The most commonly violated rules are drafting, blocking, and crossing the center line of the road. To avoid a drafting penalty, stay at least three bicycle lengths behind the rider in front of you and complete any pass within fifteen seconds. If you are overtaken, you must drop back three bicycle lengths before attempting to pass. To avoid a blocking penalty, ride to the right of the road except when passing other competitors. To avoid a center line penalty, do not cross the center yellow line of the road.
Helmets with the chin strap fastened are required whenever you are on your bike. Bar end plugs are required on handlebars and aero bars; taping over the bar ends is not permitted. Head phones and music players are strictly prohibited.

Refund & Exchange Policy
No refunds will be made if an event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond the race director's control such as but not limited to inclement weather, unsafe racing conditions, or the decision of town administrators or safety personnel. Entries would be moved to the following year's event. Events may be changed in distance or event nature for safety or other reasons at the discretion of the race director.
All refunds requested two weeks prior to event will be honored less a $25 dollar processing fee.
Exchanges to other FIRM events will be granted up to the week before the event.
Any requests made the week of the event are not subject to refunds or exchanges.
