On the first day of school, everyone is nervous. Who will I see? Where's my locker? What will my teacher's be like? Will I be able to find the restroom, the cafeteria, homeroom, or the study hall? What if I don't make it to class in 4 minutes? Well, here's one answer. YOU WILL BE FINE! Everyone, yes, everyone has first day jitters. Just do your best. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
For the first day of school, I suggest that you bring your schedule, a pencil, pen, folder, notebook/paper and your agenda (you'll get this in FAST in the morning). As you go to your classes on Tuesday, each teacher will let you know what is needed for their class. It is VERY important that you write down the date the teacher/s would like you to have the materials needed for their class.
For lunch: Be sure to look at your schedule. At the high school, we have 3 lunch periods. Lunch A, B, and C. However, I believe on your schedule it may say Period 8, 9, 10. If you have Period 8 on your schedule, you will eat lunch A, period 9 - lunch B, and period 10 - lunch C. If you have any questions, ask a teacher or the office. Also, along with the regular lunch line, there is the "Snack Shack." At the Snack Shack you can buy different foods a la carte (yogurt, salads, soft pretzels, pizza, nachos, bottled water, etc).
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me (firstname.lastname@example.org). I will be happy to answer any questions.
See you soon!
Mrs. Van Cooney
P.S. - Please don't forget your lunch money! :)
