We hope you enjoy keeping up to date with everything in school via our Facebook page. Please ensure you always supervise children's internet use and make children aware of e-safety issues, particularly around social media (children under the age of 13 are not allowed to have Facebook accounts).  We would also like to draw your attention to our guidelines for social media at the bottom of this page.

We hope you enjoy using our social media pages and find them useful. Please be aware that we will be enforcing the following rules regarding this initiative:

  • No children’s accounts will be added to our friends list - children need to be over the age of 13 to access Facebook and whilst children will be able to view the feed on the school website, they should not be given direct access to Facebook.

  • Comments will be subject to filtering.  We hope that you will take the opportunity to add positive comments to the post we make and, at times, you may wish to add some constructive ideas.  We will not however, permit negative or derogatory comments to be publically displayed.  There will be times when you may have a concern or issue to raise with us, but a public forum / social media is not an acceptable place to raise such issues - we always encourage and welcome face to face discussions in such circumstances.  Any comments of this nature will be deleted and if there are repeated issues, the user will be banned and reported to Facebook administrators.

  • No posts on Facebook will name individual children or, in anyway, make them identifiable to members of the public.

  • We will not post any images of children on social media without the permission of parents.

  • Whilst we are sure this will be a very positive addition to our communication with our community, should the service be misused at any point, we will remove it without notice.

We really hope you will embrace this initiative and that it will make keeping up with school news and activities a lot easier for everyone.
