Statement of Purpose:

The Fife High School Music Program seeks to educate students in technique, performance strategies and etiquette, knowledge and comprehension of the role of music in society, esprit de corps, and other areas of music education with the intention of providing each participant the skills and desire to enjoy music as an integral part of their life now and in the future. 


Once a student is enrolled in a music course at Fife High School, he or she is a member for the duration of the school year. Choir and Band are traditional classes and not an extracurricular activity. Attendance in class and concert performances are required.

  • Music enhances the process of learning. The systems they nourish, which include integrated sensory, attention, cognitive, emotional and motor capacities, are shown to be the driving forces behind all other learning
