Students Kindergarten through Fourth Grade participate in Music Class twice per week for 30 minutes each class. We have a full and exciting curriculum! Students are learning how to listen and assess music (form, expression, style, quality, timbre, etc.). Students are learning to compose and perform music (singing and playing instruments), how to be appropriate performers and audience members (etiquette), and learning connections between music and the other arts and disciplines, as well as the role of music in history and culture. Students are also learning how to read music...and this reading begins in Kindergarten!!! Ada Vista students come to Music Class each week with wonderful enthusiasm!
