Welcome! On this page you will find a variety of resources for students and parents. I will update this page often so please check frequently for information regarding CMS as a whole and my classes in particular. Schedule for 2020-2021 This school year I will teach three Math 8 classes and two Challenge Math 7 classes. My prep period is third hour. I am available most days before and after school for additional math support. Please make an appointment with me if you wish to set up a virtual help session. In addition, students may be requested to attend a lunch or 3B help session (upon a return to our regular scheduling) if the teacher deems it is necessary. My email address is ddunn@fhps.net. I graduated from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a Bachelor of Art in English. I finished the credits necessary for a math major at Wayne State University, where I earned a Masters Degree with a concentration in Secondary Math Education. After teaching middle school math for 14 years in Detroit Public Schools, my family moved to Ada in 2006 where I enjoyed a three year stint as a stay-at-home dad. I returned to teaching eleven years ago. This is my tenth year at CMS where I have taught math, language arts and served as an academic interventionist. A Bit About Me . . . ![]() Although I miss attending some of the professional sports events in the Detroit area (Tiger's games especially), the west side of the state has been a great place for my wife and I to raise our family. We have three children. Brendan, our oldest, graduated from FHC and the University of Michigan. He is currently a graduate student at Xavier University in Cincinnati. Ryan graduated from FHC three years ago and is a junior at Butler University. Sarah is a sophomore at FHC. During my free time, I enjoy coaching basketball and watching movies. In the fall and winter, you can find me at most FHC varsity volleyball and basketball events. |
