Why Study History?
History is interesting.  History builds better thinkers.  History helps us avoid the errors of the past.  History makes us empathetic.

My Mission: I will give students the historical tools necessary to become effective citizens.  I will help mold empathetic, interested thinkers that will know the triumphs and travails of our nation's history.

And don't forget, you are a part of history!  Get to know your own family history and the history of your home town...

WORLD HISTORY
In World History we focus on five major themes: civilization,  empire, exploration, revolution, and the modern era (20th & 21st centuries).  We research and learn about core worldly concepts that directly relate to the modern era.

Why World History?
In a day and age of increased globalization and connectedness, our students will need to have geographical, cultural, and historical awareness.

My mission: I will give students the historical tools necessary to become effective members of the worldwide community.  I will help mold cultured, worldly thinkers and decision-makers.
