Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!

New Students and Parents:
Congratulations on being a part of the gifted program at Festus Elementary/Intermediate School District!
Depending on when your child qualified last year, you may have received the Quest Handbook. If not, please email me
and I will send it home with your student.  If you would like to access it online, you may do so using the tabs at the top of the page.
My primary source of communication will be email, so please be sure to update your child's demographic sheet at open house so it has the most updated email address on file. I access SIS to send mass emails, so if your email is incorrect there, you will not recieve information from me.
I will be scheduling a fall meeting soon, so keep checking back to this site.
Returning Students and Parents:
Welcome back to Quest!  I'm so excited for some new opportunities for the kids this year, and as always, appreciate all you do to help this program improve each and every year. As in years past, email will be my primary source of communication, so please be sure you update your demographic sheet at your child's open house in their regular classroom.
We will continue with JAC/DAR, Destination Imagination and other activities, however, I am working with teachers in neighboring districts to have some fun events with gifted kids from other schools. I think the kids will enjoy the opportunity to work with kids from other schools!  I am also working a field trip or two for some of the grade levels, so keep an eye out for important dates soon.

I will be asking for some parents to volunteer for different events, especially Destination Imagination for the Intermediate students. Additionally, I will be seeking assistance for a field trip or two this year as well.  More info to come soon!

If you have a knack for fundraising, have connections, or want to set one up, email me! I'm always looking for feedback on past fundraisers, what you want to try, etc.  All fundraisers have to be approved through administration, so email me and we can get the ball rolling from the beginning of the year in order to be ahead by spring!  Thanks for your help!
