About Me

I grew up just south of Festus, in Ste. Genevieve, MO (first French Settlement west of the Mississippi River) and graduated from Ste. Genevieve High School in 2000.   Sports have always been a passion of mine and enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball growing up.   Eventually I discovered a passion for running and it has been a part of my life ever since.

I attended Southeast Missouri State University and competed in Cross Country and Track and Field, Injuries ended my career prematurely and I began coaching.  My experiences as a young coach motivated me to pursue my teaching certification.

2017-2018 will be my 12th year in education, my fifth at Festus Middle School.  I also serve the district as an assistant cross country and track and field coach.  I live in Festus with my wife Amanda, who is a teacher in the Fox School District and our 1 year old son- Rhett.

In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and traveling.   I am also a huge fan of the Super Bowl 50 Champion, Denver Broncos and the St. Louis Cardinals.
