About Me

I grew up just south of Festus, in Ste. Genevieve, MO (first French Settlement west of the Mississippi River) and graduated from Ste. Genevieve High School.   Sports have always been a passion of mine and enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball growing up.   Eventually I discovered a passion for running and it has been a part of my life ever since.

I attended and ran track and cross country at Southeast Missouri State University, but injuries ended my career prematurely and I began coaching.  My experiences as a young coach motivated me to pursue my teaching certification.

2015-16 will be my 10th year in education, my third at Festus Middle School.  I also serve the district as an assistant cross country and track and field coach.  I live in Festus with my wife, Amanda, and my Welsh Terrier, Molina.

In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and traveling.   I am also a huge fan of the Denver Broncos and the St. Louis Cardinals.
