The Notedev Network gathered for a final meeting that was hosted by our partner in Reykjavik - the University of Iceland. The meeting was an opportunity for the Notedev Supervisory Board to assess progress and finalise plans for the remaining few months of the project.  The ESRs gave substantial presentations that provided evidence of both their scientific and presentational skills development.

A competition to promote outreach by the ESRs was held during the meeting and everyone enjoyed watching and reading the contributions, which will be uploaded to the website shortly.

The journal 'Applied Physics Letters' has recently showcased a "must-read" selection of papers chosen by their associate editor Alessandro Tredicucci, an expert in Terahertz devices.  A paper by ESR Daniele Palaferii et al, from Universite Paris Diderot, has been included in this list. This paper presents the first antenna-coupled microcavity detector in the THz range and shows the improved photon coupling in terms of enhanced responsivity and detectivity of a quantum well photodetector.
