About Mr. Fugere & Mr. Koldys

Mr. Koldys:  I am a 1999 graduate of The Academy and returned here 5 years ago to teach science.  There is no place I'd rather be.

My philosophy is to develop productive, contributive members of society by encouraging students to constantly strive for improvement.  This entails a hands-on and active approach to science that is always challenging and always worthwhile.

I coach the 5 time State Champion St. Albans Sharks swim team, and spend the rest of my time staying active swimming, skiing, hiking, dabbling in woodworking, and exploring the world of Victorian era home renovation/preservation.  As often as possible the aforementioned include my wonderful wife, energetic daughters, and two dogs.

Mr. Fugere:
I have been teaching here at BFA for the past 28 years! It does not seem possible that much time has gone by as I enjoy coming to work each day and spending time with students and the Science department members.

I enjoy my family, sports, being outdoors, woodworking, camping and working with students! My favorite sports teams are Red Sox, New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins.

I tell my students to "Always do their best" and I work with them to achieve that!

Don't hesitate to contact me at anytime you have questions or concerns or need extra help.
