Green Day Celebration

Principal's Message

Dear Wildcat Families,

This has been another fantastic year, and I thank you for helping to make this a success for our students. The year has gone by very fast and each and every student has grown academically, physically and emotionally.  The year has been filled with lots of excitement! We have enhanced the arts,  students have participated in performances, and won numerous awards.  We participated in several events in the community and state such as Rock Around the Clock, Arts on the Ridge, illustrated and recored a book, Sumter, and Shelby Step Show, Martin Luther King oratorical, and Elite Ladies hosted events.

On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff thank you for sharing your children with us this year.  We are sure the results of everyone’s hard work will be evident once they enter their next grade.  As always, it is a fabulous experience to watch our students soar to greatness.

I will always believe that the success of the students and Fairfield Magnet School for Math and Science directly correlates with the partnership that we have established between the home and school. Thank You!! I would like to thank all our parents and community members who continue to support the Magnet School.

Again this year, it is with sadness that we say goodbye to our seniors in the building, the sixth graders, but we are excited for them and the prospects and challenges that await them as they transition to the Fairfield Middle School. Most of these six graders were in CD4 or Kindergarten when I became the principal at FMSMS! Thank you, sixth-grade parents, for sharing your child with us and allowing us the privilege to work with them daily and have a major role in helping them prepare for the future. We wish  the sixth-grade students the very best for the future beyond Fairfield Magnet School for Math and Science. We encourage them to believe in the impossible because they have everything inside of them to be great at whatever they decide to do in life.

It is an outstanding moment in the life of an educator and a parent when you step back and reflect on the many wonderful things that have taken place this past year. We are blessed to have such magnificent students who have shown tremendous progress academically, socially, behaviorally, and physically. Thank you for being an important part of the Wildcat Team, and making sure we had a Happy New Year this year!!

Have a restful and wonderful summer!
