Mrs. McDonald (Hallway Aide)

My daughter started attending Meekins in 1996 in the Yellows class. And then my oldest son started in 1998 in the 2's class and my youngest son started at Meekins in 2000. They all 3 loved Meekins and so did I! After Meekins, I remained active in the Vienna community, as PTA President at Freedom Hill and Kilmer and now as Booster President at Marshall High School where both boys attend. I am also on the Board of Directors of Vienna Youth Soccer. While I continued to volunteer in my children's classes as they grew up, my favorite age continues to be Preschoolers. For the past 11 years, I have been a Preschool teacher at our church, involved in curriculum development and teacher training as well as a classroom teacher. I was thrilled to be asked to return to Meekins as part of the staff. When I tell people I have the best job since I get to play with preschoolers, they look at me sort of funny, but it's true - I really love working at Meekins! When I 'm not at Meekins, I enjoy playing golf and tennis, practicing yoga, and believe it or not, I still play on a Vienna women's soccer team.

I have a BS in Business Administration from Wake Forest University and after working for 18 years in commercial banking, I "retired" from Bank of America in 2001 to be a full time mom & volunteer.

It is my pleasure to get to spend time with your children, watching them learn and grow at Meekins.
