Greens Class

The Greens class with age ranges from 2.5 years to 3 years old helps the child develop positive social skills as the world opens up for them and peers become more important.  Dramatic play becomes a central element of the school day. Beginning math skills and the printed word are incorporated into daily activities. Field trips begin in the class. There are about 4 field trips throughout the year. (Toilet training is not a requirement for admittance to any of our classes.)

For the 2019-2020 school year:  

Children between the ages of 2.5 and 3.5 years old are eligible. 

The Tuition is $2214 for the school year, broken down to $246 per month.

This class meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. The teacher is Mrs. Blocksom (Greens) and the teacher's aide is Mrs. Buxton (Yellows/Greens Aide)

The maximum enrollment for this class is 15 children.  There are always three adults in the classroom on Monday and Wednesday:  the teacher, the parent and an aide making the adult to child ratio (1:5) and two adults on Friday: the teacher and parent making the adult to child ratio (1:7.5).  Parents with a child in this class co-op in the school approximately 10 times during the school year. 

Typical Schedule:

9:15 -- Arrival

9:30 -- Morning meeting: which friends are here, which friends are absent; plans for the day

9:40 -- Center time: play activities, art, cooking on Mondays, Music on Wednesday

10:50 -- Clean up; finger plays; set up snack

11:15 -- Snack time

11:30 -- Active play (playground or active room depending on weather)

12:00 -- Story time

12:15 -- Dismissal
