Fayyaa Integrated Development Organization (FIDO), that is an Ethiopian not-for-profit organization established in 2002. FIDO's mission, according to its founder and present president of its Board of Directors Anbessu Tolla, "is to create sustainable community development in Ethiopia." To that end FIDO has raised, or successfully utilized from competitive USAID and other awards and grants, some US$10 million dollars. Its activities include improving the quality of life for HIV/AIDs patients, food distribution, malaria prevention and control, health center construction, work to end gender-based violence, etc.
More specifically, Fayyaa International's primary focus, at least in the foreseeable future, will be to raise funds and other appropriate support for FIDO's project of constructing the "Jimma Youth Development Center" in Jimma Town, Ethiopia. This Center, when completed, will serve some 1,000 youth per year.
