Greetings, I am Pamela Schultz and I am the Agricultural Education instructor and FFA advisor at Fayette Local High school. I graduated in 2002 from Elmwood Local High School in Bloomdale, OH. While I was in high school was extremely active in FFA and many other various clubs and organizations. While in FFA I took the most of my opportunity. I was a recipient of the State and American FFA Degree, two of the highest awards you can earn in the FFA.

Following high school I attended The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, OH. During my two years at OSU-ATI I majored in Pre-AgEd. In 2004 I graduated from OSU-ATI with an associate’s degree in Pre-AgEd. Upon graduation I transferred to OSU main campus in Columbus, OH. In 2006 I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors of Science allowing me to teach Agricultural Education.

With my graduation came the great challenge of restarting the FFA at Fayette High School. I couldn't wait for the challenge.  Since 2006 I have watched the Fayette FFA grow and grow. We have won many awards, attended State and National Conventions. With these many events the Fayette FFA has earned 9 State FFA Degrees as well as 4 American FFA Degres. This is a great honor for only about two percent of FFA members are able to attain this Degree.

I enjoy teaching agricultural education because I feel that it is important to understand agriculture is not just "sows, cows and plows." With over 300 careers in Ohio that are agriculturally related I look forward each day to opening the eyes of our students and showing them the many opportunities that agriculture offers them each day.
