Mrs. Beck's Kindergarten Calendar Announcements
| | Celebrating Birthdays at School We love celebrating birthdays with your child at school. Please contact Mrs. Beck before sending something in. Healthier and store bought treats are encouraged. We have 15 students in our class. It would be helpful that if your treat requires silverware, napkins or plates, please send that in with the treat as we do not have extras of these items in our classroom.
Personal Party Invitations Please do not send in invitations to hand out at school unless you are inviting everyone in the class. Too many feelings are hurt when only some of the class is invited to parties outside of school. |

I graduated from Pettisville High School in 1997. In 2001, I graduated from Huntington College (now Huntington University) with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Kindergarten Endorsement. I began teaching First Grade at Fayette Elementary in the Fall of 2001. I have taught 11 years in first grade and 1 year in second grade here at Fayette Elementary. This year is my 7th year teaching Kindergarten. While here at Fayette I have taught 4 years of summer school and have been a mentor to two first year teachers. I received my Masters degree from Bowling Green State University in Teaching & Curriculum in August 2005. |
Mission For the Class
| | I strive to help all my students to become successful in kindergarten and prepare them for first grade. I plan to provide a safe and fun learning environment for my students. My goal is to meet the special learning needs of each individual child. I hope to continue to spark an excitement for reading and provide them with the necessary tools to improve upon/begin their reading skills. I try hard to engage each student in the curriculum by making it real and by applying it to their daily lives.
