Thanks to all the Father Judge faculty members who attended the weekly lunchtime learning sessions this year. I hope you found them interesting and worthwhile. Your students are better for your efforts.
Hopefully next year's schedule will once again allow for this opportunity to "Learn Together".
This session will focus on using videos in the classroom. Downloading, trimming, purifying and other video features will be discussed and illustrated. We can work on your favorite video to enhance your lessons.

In this series of hands-on sessions you will introduced to various collaboration tools. We will start with Twitter and how you can use it as part of your Personal Professional Development program. Its uses in and out of the classroom will be discussed and practiced during our time together.
This is an excellent LiveBinder with its main focus on Teachers Using Twitter.

These sessions will open up your peer group. If you choose to attend these sessions you will learn that a PLN is not a thing or a tool but rather it is a "connection". It becomes your "go to place" when you need help. As you expand your PLNthe size will change. Sometime it grows and sometimes it shrinks but one thing is certain with a PLN "YOU ALWAYS GROW".

Mark Carew has been installing SMART Boards and projectors throughout the school. Now as teachers you want to know how to use them. We will be starting to offer Basic SMART Board training. The sessions should help you get acquainted with these instructional tools. Do you know how to orient the board? Do you know what it means to orient the board? Are you disoriented since the board appeared in your room? Not to worry we can help. Make your way to some of these sessions and you will be engaging your students with your new teaching methods.

This week will bring the beginning of Google Docs Training. All are encouraged to attend. If you have never used this collaboration tool these sessions are a must. If you have some experience but want to learn how to share your documents or maybe post a presentation, you should think about attending.
