Why aren't BlackBerry devices supported?
Google does not guarantee that you will be able to set up your account on a BlackBerry device. Different BlackBerry versions use different operating systems, and some have email configuration tools that are unable to accept Google Apps for Education/Enterprise accounts. Even if you already have a personal Gmail account on your BlackBerry, you might not be able to set up a Google Apps for Education account like F&M's. Every login name ends with "@fandm.edu" and many BlackBerry devices will not accept the "@" symbol as part of a login name.
If you are a BlackBerry owner, Google recommends that you access your email through the web browser. If you would like to try setting up your BlackBerry for IMAP email access, you may do so following these instructions and using these settings, but please keep in mind that Google and ITS will not be able to help if this does not work for your device.
