District and School Improvement Plans, 2018–19

The Fallsburg Central School District Board of Education adopted the Fallsburg CSD District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) and Fallsburg Jr.-Sr. High School School Comprehensive Education Plan (SCEP) for 2018–19. These plans are required based on Fallsburg CSD's focus district and Fallsburg JSHS' focus school statuses.

These plans detail the goals and strategies the district and JSHS will be undertaking in 2018–19, and are designed to, ultimately, improve student achievement. Some of the major goals of the Fallsburg CSD DCIP include:

  1. An improvement in student dispositions towards schools and school leaders
  2. An overall reduction in the number of courses failed by students
  3. A reduction in the number of student disciplinary referrals in grades K–12
  4. An increase in the number of students completing advanced/upper-level coursework in grades 9–12
  5. Improvements in family and community engagement practices

Some of the goals of the Fallsburg JSHS SCEP include:

  1. Increases in the frequency, and improvements in the quality of differentiated instructional practices and student engagement
  2. Targeted social-emotional strategies for students who generate high numbers of disciplinary referrals
  3. Improvements in family and community engagement practices
