Fallsburg After-School Program

We are pleased to inform you that Fallsburg CSD was awarded the New York State’s Empire State After-School Grant.  This, along with a grant partnership with SUNY Sullivan, will allow us to continue high-quality after-school programs for Fallsburg’s students.

The Fallsburg After-School Program (FASP) will begin in both schools on Monday, October 23.  The hours of the program are 3:00–5:30 in the Fallsburg Jr.-Sr. High School, and 4:00–5:30 at Benjamin Cosor Elementary School.  Both programs will run Monday through Thursday.  The Benjamin Cosor ES program will be similar to last year’s extended day program.

Academic tutoring will be provided in the Jr.-Sr. High School program from 3:00–4:15.  SUNY Sullivan’s Liberty Partnerships will provide social/emotional mentoring, as well as college awareness activities from 4:15–5:30.  The Liberty Partnerships program will also provide a college-level course in the spring, and college visits throughout the year.

To participate in the program, please complete a registration form (see below).  Please note that there are distinct registration forms for the Benjamin Cosor Elementary School and Fallsburg Jr.-Sr. High School.  Seats are limited, and only registered students will be allowed to attend.  Transportation and snacks will be provided.

Should you have any questions regarding the Fallsburg After-School Program, please contact your school’s main office or Ms. Suzanne Lendzian, Director of Physical Education and Athletics, at (845) 434-6800.
