Moot Court

Moot Court

What is Moot Court?  Moot court is a program that works with the Stark County Bar Association to educate local schools on the law and gives students the opportunity practice and participate in "mock" court room/law situations.

How do I become involved?  If you are interested in the law and the court system, see Miss Vasco to discuss the possibility of joining the "Moot Court" trainees.

When does Moot Court take place? Moot court takes place during Law Week, in the Spring; However, practices take place months in advance, usually on the weekends.  Our local law specialist, Sue Dostal, a working Ohio Lawyer, preps students over the Supreme Court Case assigned and prepares members to argue both sides of the case in front of REAL Stark County Judges.
