The acquisition of the former Fairfield School site on Fairfield-School Road afforded Fairfield Township the opportunity to purchase 16 acres of centrally located land to be used in the creation of the Fairfield Township Government Center.
While the old Fairfield School building was long-slated for demolition (click for video), the smaller, "Annex" building provided necessary records storage, office space, public restrooms, and additional space to accommodate Township meetings. The Annex is open for all public meetings.

The completion of the Lake and Dry Hydrant project at the Fairfield Township Government Center provided much needed centrally located water capacity to the area fire departments contracted to provide Fairfield Township Fire Protection.
