Salvete Omnes,

My name is Dennis Clark Dickerson, Jr. I am a Latin teacher at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, TN. The fall of 2016  will mark the beginning of my seventh year teaching. My background is in middle school education having taught eighth grade at St. Agnes-St. Dominic for five years. I transitioned to the high school level in the 2015-2016 school year. My class load includes three sections of Latin I, one section of Honors Latin III and one section of AP Latin.

I love the field of education. I love being a student in the field and being an educator in my own right. I feel this program will take me to the next level of my educational goals. I look forward to learning things I did not previously know and meeting people with similar goals as mine. Also, I look forward to my cohort and my professors getting to know me and receiving anything I can offer.

Upon graduating, I could see myself remaining as a Latin teacher, but also playing a more active role in foreign language education. I could carry out this role through the Tennessee Foreign Language Teaching Association, the American Classical League, AP College Board, etc. Another professional goal of mine is to serve in the Christian Education Department of the A.M.E. Church, my denomination.

Whatever happens professionally, I feel I am in the right place to make these goals a reality. Thank you for taking time to observe my page! Feel free to glance at my Curriculum Vitae at the bottom of the page!

Curate ut valeatis!
