Welcome to Technology
My name is Mrs. Susinski and I teach technology at EMK. I am so excited to be a part of the EMK family! I have been teaching for 10 years and before coming to EMK in 2018 I taught second, third, and fourth grade, and K-5 technology. I am committed to making sure that your child has a great school year! What We Are Learning
Kindergarten
Kindergarten students will begin the year by learning to name the parts of the computer. They will also learn how to use a mouse to click, double click, and click and drag. These skills will be reviewed throughout the year. Other topics covered will include using the keyboard, internet safety, and coding.

1st Grade
In first grade students start by reviewing the names and functions of the different parts of the computer. They will review how to use a mouse to click, double click, and click and drag. They also learn how to open an internet browser and navigate to a website. These skills will be reviewed throughout the year. Other topics covered will include typing, internet safety, word processing, and coding.

2nd Grade
Second graders begin with a review of computer parts and their functions and will talk about how technology is used to improve our lives. The students will learn about the home row and how to use it when they type. They will continue to practice these skills throughout the year. Other topics covered will include internet safety, word processing, and coding.
