The East Whittier City School District (EWCSD) is excited to launch a take-home student device initiative. Under this initiative, students will be loaned a Chromebook for use on school-related projects and assignments. Technology use is an important part of education. It expanding learning beyond the four walls of the classroom, making information available where and when it's needed. We look forward to using these Chromebooks to deliver core content and curriculum. In addition, these Chromebooks are an integral part of teaching digital citizenship in a 21st Century learning environment.

The program begins in January 2018 as a pilot with our 6th grade students. The program will then expand to all of our middle school students in the 2018-19 school year.
