Connie Hennessey, A-L

Hello :-)

My name is Connie Hennessey and I have been at Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School since the school opened in 2012. I love being a part of the Phoenix family. Before coming to HeLa, I worked at Heritage and Union High Schools. I have a wonderful husband of 26 years and we have two great kids. Our daughter graduated from WSU with a degree in Bio-Engineering in 2017, and our son attends and plays football at Central Washington and is majoring in Secondary Math Education. We spend our weekends in the fall attending CWU football games and cheering on the Wildcats! I love to read, hike, bike and travel. I believe all students have dignity and worth, and have the capacity to learn and grow. I am committed to helping every student navigate high school and prepare for life after graduation.

Rise Above!
Mandy Cervantes, M-Z

My name is Mandy Cervantes and this is my 3rd year at Henrietta Lacks Health & Bioscience High School. Prior to school counseling I ran the Jack, Will and Rob Boys & Girls Club in Camas for 7 years. It was the work there that assisted me in finding my passion for working with students to pursue their personal, social, academic, and career goals. This school year I plan to provide a fun and interactive environment that fosters a love of learning among the students that I work with.

In my spare time outside of Hela I coach Softball at Camas High School. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends!

Justin St. Pierre, Transition Coach

My name is Justin St. Pierre. I am entering my fourth year at HeLa and am looking forward to another year of challenges and success! My job here includes academic support, life-skill building, and mentoring. I work along side our amazing counselors, adding a third resource for our students who are in need.

I have worked in education off-and-on for 6 years, and couldn't be happier landing at HeLa among the Phoenix family! This school year my mission is to provide a safe, trusting environment that encourages character development, personal responsibility, and growth.

Outside of HeLa I referee NCAA Basketball and Soccer.
