How the States Got their Shapes (Day Four)

Learning Target: I can explain the significance of the United States Constitution.
  1. Take out Reading Study GuideA5: United States Geography Pretest/A6: United States Statehood Sheet and United States Maps, and Assignment Card. Place bags in the back and front corner of the classroom.
  2. Total up the points for Assignments #1-5 with the Parent Signature.
  3. Open the Reading Study Guide to the Constitution Handbook on page 83.
  4. Answer these Constitution Day Questions within groups.
  5. Review Learning Target.
  6. Review these United States Geography sites:
    1. SheppardSoftware has a lot of great geography quizzes and tests that are presented as games.
    2. Learn States and Capitals is a great way to learn the 50 states and their capitals in a fun interactive way. 
    3. LizardPoint Geography offers students a variety of quizzes to review the locations and capitals of the United States.
  7. Complete A6: United States Statehood Sheetpages 27-28 of A7: RSG Chpt. 3 pages 27-34, and practice the United States Capitals Song tonight.
