Farr Avenue School Commitment: Farr is committed to student achievement. We believe that we are responsible for getting students proficient in Reading, Writing, and Math. If students are not yet at the proficient level in these three areas, we will do whatever it takes to get them there.
The Fifth Grade Cardboard Arcade
Over the last four weeks our fifth grade students have been working on a project inspired by a video about boy from South East Los Angeles. This boy created his own cardboard arcade and called it "Caine's Arcade". From this inspiration, students were asked to work together in groups to design, write about, discuss, present/pitch their ideas, and make their own cardboard games. Today, the students were able to show off all of their hard work and students from every grade level came to the MPR to participate in the Cardboard Arcade fun.
