People's Choice/Nominees

Be sure you attend the Showing and Festival June 7th!

The Escondido Education Foundation invites you to come support your classmates who are nominated and find out who the People's Choice winners are.

Below, you can click on links to view the over 260 projects submitted to the 2013 Escondido Youth Media Festival. Vote for your favorites for the People's Choice Award. You can vote for any project, not just nominees.

The Nominees List

See a complete list of nominees here.

When you click on a Category and Grade Level below, you will be able to see which projects have been nominated to win that category. We had around 260 submissions and we were constrained in the number of nominees we could include. Many very worthy projects were not able to be included. The decision-making was very tough. The judges have scored all of the projects and the winners will be announced at the Escondido Youth Media Festival Awards on June 7 at 7 PM at the California Center for the Arts. The People's Choice winners will be announced at the Awards, too. The People's Choice winners can be ANY project; they are NOT chosen just from the nominees. Help make your favorites winners by voting before June 4 (ends at 5pm). There will be multiple screenings of all nominated projects in their entirety between 4:00-7:00 in the big theater of the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, with the Awards following immediately.

All of the nominees' projects will be shown in their entirety on the same day and place as the Awards (above). To accommodate people's schedules, there will be two complete showings beginning at 4 PM and 5:30 PM. The awards will begin immediately after the 5:30 PM screening.

People's Choice Score Sheet: keep track of your favorites in each category.

Below you can preview all of the projects submitted by EUSD students. All students, and teachers, if you choose, can vote for your favorite in each category. For each link below, you will be taken to the projects for that category and grade level. The front page will have a spreadsheet listing the project numbers with instructions on how to quickly find the project you're seeking. There you'll also see a link to vote for your favorite. Be sure to jot down the 3-digit entry number (e.g. 005) and the grade level (use the score sheet above, if you'd like).  There is also navigation built into the top of that page to take you to other grade levels or back to this page. At the bottom of each entry is a form the judges used to evaluate each project. Submissions are no longer active. Just ignore it.
