Escondido Union School District (EUSD) offers preschool to children through the State Preschool Program (CSPP) and also through the Quality Preschool Initiative (QPI). Our preschool programs are an integral part of EUSD’s efforts to ensure children have the foundational skills to be successful in kindergarten and throughout their entire school experience. State preschool programs are subsidized programs for low income children. QPI programs are free of charge, but children must qualify and meet certain guidelines to be eligible. Priority is given to children that turn 4 years old by September 1st, and are low income. Children must reside in the city of Escondido.
