Meet Mrs. Doud

Here is a bit about me:  I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from California State University at Northridge.  I returned to California State University at San Marcos to get my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  I first taught in a job-share at North Broadway Elementary School in Escondido, CA with my talented teaching partner, Mrs. Katie Nack.  After three years I transitioned to middle school where  I taught  6th grade self-contained classes at Bear Valley Middle School and Rincon Middle School, and worked At-Will helping students in a small group setting.   During that time, I continued challenging myself by adding a Single Subject English Credential and a Foundational Science Credential.  I also added a Physical Education Supplement.
I feel very fortunate to work with PLUS students creating an inclusive culture on our campus.  I share their heart for creating connections among students and improving our campus one relationship at a time!  I am also glad to teach my STEM/Engineering elective believing that our nation's future prosperity depends on our young people's ability to be innovators able to compete on an international level.  Hopefully, students will return to me in 5 years with the news that they were inspired to consider Engineering as a career through this class!
My husband, Kevin and I have two girls, Nicole and Kirsten.   Our family's "baby", Buckley, is an 85 pound Golden Retriever/Black Lab Mix.  I enjoy walking, gardening, reading, and, like most middle school students, socializing!
