Meet Mrs. Doud

Here is a bit about me:  I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from California State University at Northridge.  I returned to California State University at San Marcos to get my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  I first taught in a job-share at North Broadway Elementary School in Escondido, CA with my talented teaching partner, Mrs. Katie Nack.  After three years I transitioned to middle school where  I taught  6th grade self-contained classes at Bear Valley Middle School and Rincon Middle School.   During that time, I continued challenging myself by adding a Single Subject English Credential and a Foundational Science Credential.  I also added a Physical Education Supplement.
I feel very fortunate to work with PLUS students creating an inclusive culture on our campus.  I share their heart for creating connections among students and improving our campus one relationship at a time!   I love watching each student develop their strengths and become confident public speakers.
I am also excited to teach  Science this year.    My goal is to open students minds to the possibility of entering a career in a STEM field and to support them fully in their science learning!
My husband, Kevin and I have two girls, Nicole and Kirsten, former Rincon Bulldogs!   Our family's "baby", Buckley, is an 85 pound Golden Retriever/Black Lab Mix.  I enjoy walking, gardening, reading, and, like most middle school students, socializing!
