Course Objective:

Photography I is an introductory year- long course in digital photography. This course will provide students with opportunities to gain 
knowledge and skills in the field of photography. This course will familiarize the student with fundamentals of light, photographic equipment, materials, methods, and processes. The students will also study the concepts of composition and aesthetics. Students will analyze the role and development of photography in past and present cultures throughout the world, noting human diversity and how photography has reflected major historicaevents in the world. The students will also be introduced to computer technology.

Projects include angles of view, composition, shutter speed controls, depth of field controls, and portraiture. You'll also learn how to use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop like a pro.  Check out these examples of each unit from previous students:
