The “Negotiators’ of Europe” Research and Training Program was launched at ESSEC IRENE in 2014 in order to create synergies between the training, research and teaching activities related to the European Union.


Our Activities and Objectives :

    • TRAININGReinforcing negotiation capabilities for EU officials, national diplomats and civil servants;
    • RESEARCH: Understanding the role of the EU as a global negotiating actor and exploring the characteristics of EU negotiation behavior at national and supranational level;
    • TEACHING: Developing pedagogical tools and learning modules for understanding EU negotiation mechanisms and policy-making processes;

ESSEC IRENE EUROPA

    Already present in France and in Singapore, ESSEC IRENE opened on the 24th of June 2014 its new office ESSEC IRENE EUROPA in Brussels near the EU institutions district. The objectives of our new office are to:

    - Consolidate the activities of ESSEC IRENE related to European affairs in the domains of negotiation, conflict prevention , governance and stakeholders dialogue, whether it be via research, training activities or the sharing of expertise.

    - Developing new opportunities and partnerships in the private and public sector, the university milieu and civil society.

    - Promoting cooperation and common projects among researchers and active practitioners in Brussels and beyond. This will be the case inter alia through joint research activities and seminars, workshops and conferences.
