Welcome to Third Grade!

Third grade is an exciting transitional year!  You are now part of the 3-5 Team.  We are going to be learning many new things this year in third grade.  Some big topics in math we are going to be learning are multiplication, division, fractions, area, harder addition/subtraction, and reasoning through story problems in all of these areas.  In Writer's Workshop we are going to be writing personal narratives, realistic fiction, informational, biography, persuasive, literary essay, and fairy tale writings.  In Reader's Workshop we will be reading realistic fiction, nonfiction, biographies, mystery, folk tales/fairy tales, and social issues.

I am honored to be working with your child this school year.  Third grade will bring many joys and challenges in learning and I look forward to being a part of all of the progress your child will make throughout the year!

Erin School added me to the family in the 2010-2011 school year where I taught 4K for three years.  I was introduced to the 3rd grade team during the 2012-2013 school year where I taught Science in the afternoons and am fortunate to be able to now call it my full time home.  I look forward to learning and growing with your child.  Thank you all for the privilege of having the greatest job on earth!:)

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.  My husband Aaron and I moved to Hartford that same year where we started our family.  Together we have three beautiful daughters, Cicely, Maya, and Izabella.  I have many interests which include art, sustainable agriculture, education, singing, and coffee...I love coffee.  My teaching experiences include 4K, 5K, 1st grade, and, or course, 3rd.

It is extremely important that we all stay connected and work as a team in order to help your child maximize his/her full potential.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time with any cares or concerns you might be having regarding your child's education.  We are all in this together.

Welcome to Room 123!  I am so excited for this school year! Third grade will be a fun, but challenging year. I am really looking forward to being a part of the third grade journey teaching and learning with your child!

I have been at Erin School since my student teaching days in the winter of 2013 when I taught third grade.  The 2013-2014 school year I was the long term sub for third grade, and then transitioned to first grade in the afternoon and 1st-5th math support in the mornings. I am so excited to continue my journey as a third grade again this year!  I grew up in Slinger, so I am very familiar with the area.  I went to Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon. From Concordia I have a license in Elementary Education for grades 1-8 and a Math license as well.  I am currently working on my masters in Math Intervention through the Univeristy of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

My husband Tanner and I live in Germantown, Wisconsin. When I am not at school I am relaxing with my husband and my family.  I enjoy being outdoors and going to sporting events.  I am a big Brewers, Packers, and Admirals fan!

It is so important that we stay connected between home and school in order for your child to have a successful year in third grade. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions, comment, concerns, or celebrations regarding your child’s education.
