Technology Access

ERA Secure Socket Layer Certificates:
Internet Filtering is required by law in a high school environment, and all devices, both school owned or personal must be filtered when connected to the ERA network. Students who are having problems accessing sites such as Google.com, and other HTTPS secured sites will need to add an SSL certificate into the Chrome Browser to access HTTPS sites while using their personal device on the ERA Network. If students do not want to download the certificate, students may use their personal data plan to access the internet.

ERA Acceptable Use Policy (All Parents & Students must read and sign.)
All students and parents must read and sign the Acceptable Computer Use Policy, along with the Student/Parent Handbook. These two documents outline the appropriate use and prohibited activities when using technology resources on the ERA campus. Every student is expected to follow all guidelines stated below, as well as those given by the staff and faculty, and to demonstrate good citizenship and ethical behavior at all times.

ERA Bring Your Own Technology Form (Parents & Students must read and sign.)
Students who would like to bring their own technology device (laptop, netbook, tablet, Chromebook) to school need to read and sign the Bring Your Own Technology Form with their parents. Once the form has been submitted it will take about 48 hours for a student's device to be added to the network. This form can only be submitted electronically.

No cellphones/smartphones/phablets (phone-based tablets) can be placed on the ERA network at this time.

ERA Chromebook Lease Form (Parents & Students must read and sign.)
Students who do not have their own technology device are encouraged to borrow a Chromebook from Eagle Ridge Academy. Students and parents need to read and sign the Chromebook Loan Agreement form and submit a check to the front office to cover the insurance for the year. This form may be submitted electronically, or a printed copy of the form may be picked up in the school office.

You may also print the form directly from the site and then return the printed copy to the office. Submitting a paper copy of the form may delay the process of releasing your student's netbook by 48 hours. To print paper copies please click on the link, scroll to the very bottom of the document and click on the "Open Document Name" at the very bottom of the page.
