Exciting News - Priority Enrollment Period Open!

posted Dec 13, 2017, 7:16 AM by Christine Shock   [ updated Feb 1, 2018, 10:30 AM ]

Due to ever-increasing interest among families and students to become an Eagle Ridge Academy
Warrior, ERA is offering a priority enrollment period which will begin on Wednesday,
December 13th , 2017 and continue through Wednesday, January 17th , 2018.

During this five week priority enrollment period, families wanting to take part in priority enrollment
will simply
fill out a one-page form.

ERA can offer 155 seats in the 2018 – 2019 freshmen class. On January 18th , 2018, we will look at all those
who have participated in priority enrollment. If the number is less than 155, all students will be
offered enrollment on Friday, January 26 th , 2018. If the number exceeds 155, a lottery will be
held on Friday, January 19th, 2018 to determine enrollment and a waiting list will be created.

To secure your place as an ERA Warrior, it is mandatory that you complete the entire paper
application along with all required documents (available January 9 th to download or you can pick
up a printed copy in the front office of ERA). This paper application, in its entirety – again with
all required documentation, must be submitted to the front office at ERA by 4:00 PM on Friday,
February 2 nd , 2018 to secure your student’s enrollment.

If the entire paper application is not submitted by February 2nd , 2018, then your student will lose his/her place in the freshmen class of 2018/2019. You will also be required to attend an enrollment meeting (several times and options will be offered), and students are also required to participate in placement testing in May. The
entire process must be completed to secure your student’s enrollment.

Eagle Ridge Academy will continue to accept applications and assign seats as available and in
the order that they are received if all seats are not filled during the priority enrollment period. A
second lottery may be held to fill remaining seats.

Senior Portraits Due to Yearbook by February 15. 2018

posted Nov 13, 2017, 8:46 AM by Christine Shock   [ updated Feb 20, 2018, 8:01 AM ]

Class of 2018,

Your Senior Portraits and Senior Quotes are due to the yearbook staff by February 15, 2018. While this
deadline may seem to be far in the future, you may want to schedule your portrait sitting now, to ensure
inclusion in the 2017-2018 yearbook.

Yearbook prefers portraits to be submitted to yearbook@erawarriors.org in a digital format.
Photos may be in .jpg, .png or .tif format and must be between 10 Mb and 24 Mb for quality printing.
Most portrait photographers will send a digital copy for inclusion in the yearbook at no extra charge.

If you do not have a digital copy of your senior portrait, please submit a wallet size copy to the
yearbook staff. Yearbook cannot accept photos from Facebook or other social media sites as the images
are too low resolution to print well. Please include on a sticky note on the back your name and a good contact email address to notify you when your picture is ready to be picked up after scanning.

Senior Portrait Requirements

1.   All photos must conform to the ERA dress code standards. Modest off the shoulder styles may be worn.
2.  Photos may contain school appropriate props (umbrellas, beach balls, balloons, etc.)
No weapons, including swords, lightsabers, airsoft rifles or paintball rifles may be in your senior portrait.
3.  Pets may be included in your senior portrait
4.  No family members may be included in your senior portrait.
5.  All portraits must be portrait orientation. This means the shortest edge of the picture is horizontal.
Any portraits that are landscape (longest edge is horizontal) will be cropped by the yearbook staff to
     fit a portrait orientation.
6.  Traditional photo filtering (Sepia Tones, Black and White) photos are acceptable.
Photos with heavy filtering or distortions may be returned to the student for a more appropriate picture.
7.  Please no logos, captions, etc. (Nike, Reebok, etc) as these will have to be blurred out to prevent copyright              infringement.
8.  ERA Yearbook cannot accept any photo taken in a dangerous or hazardous location (railroad tracks,
abandoned buildings, etc.) due to potential legal liability.

Any questions about your senior portrait please feel to email the yearbook staff at yearbook@erawarriors.org

Senior Quotes:

Senior quotes must be no longer than 20 words or 140 characters. All quotes must be school appropriate and
may not contain any profanity, or inappropriate content. If you have questions about the appropriateness of
your senior quote, please email the yearbook staff at yearbook@erawarriors.org
